Notification regarding to CPAs and SPAs of Hon'ble NGT by MoEF&CC, New Delhi

In this Circular, The mechanism for Environmental Management of Critically and Severely Polluted area and consideration of activities/Projects in such areas in compliance of direction issued by Hon'bl  NGT on 19.08.2019. The enclosed mechanism  may be shared with the State/UT Government  and SPCB/PCCs for Implementation.

The report regarding CEPI and EPI assessment study done by CPCB may be put up to the ministry for further deliberation.

Standardizing the validity of baseline data and public consultation reports for submission of proposal within the validity period of Terms of Reference (ToR) under the provisions of EIA Notification, 2006 - regarding.

 Dated: 08 th June 2022 As per the provisions of EIA Notification, 2006, Terms of References (ToR) are being accorded to the various developmental projects listed in the schedule to the EIA Notification, 2006 except schedule 8(a) for undertaking EIA/EMP study. In this regard, Ministry issued Office Memorandum No. J-11013/41/2006-IA-II (I) (Part) dated 29th August 2017 stating that the validity period of ToR as three years for all the projects/ activities and four years for River Valley and HEP Projects. This validity period could be further extended by a maximum period of one year , thereby making the outer limit for validity of ToR as four years for all projects/ activities and five years for River Valley and HEP projects.   Further, in the above-mentioned O.M, it is also stated that the baseline data used for preparation of EIA/EMP reports may be collected at any stage, irrespective of the request for ToR or the issue thereof. Circular of ToR (Terms of Reference) Validity

Circular published by MoEF&CC, New Delhi on dated 17 th February 2020.   Important things of the circular of ToR Validity :   As per Amendment   EIA notification 2006 , In paragraph 7, in sub paragraph 7(i) for   sub-heading   II Stage (2)-Scoping and entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-   II.
